Convinced of the efficiency of the methods passed down from great health pioneers, in his words: "My goal is to show as many people as I can the wonderful results of Nature's way of healing the body if she's only given half a chance! There is no limit to the potential the human body has when it adheres to her laws! The other day, soon as she found out that I did yoga, a co-worker asked me; “Besides being all flexible, what are the other benefits of doing this yoga-thing?, It looks like stretching to me anyway…”

Well, I told her that's asking (and saying) a lot really, the health benefits of yoga are so much that it may be hard to see which exact one is the most important.

Nonetheless, the main benefit of doing Yoga may lie in the fact that it works not only one part of the body, for example the physical, but the spiritual as well. All the while making sure that the body is trained as a unit not necessarily isolating one muscle group

Here are some other health benefits one can derive from a regular yoga practice.

  1. Improvement in Sleep Patterns
  2. Decrease in Joint aches and pains
  3. Posture Improvement
  4. Weight normalization
  5. Increase in Muscular flexibility
  6. Increase in Energy Levels

I think to really understand the main benefit of doing yoga, one must realize that all its limbs and components (Diet, meditation, breathing exercises, and postures) when applied properly, work together to make the body fit, healthy and strong both mentally and physically.

Moreover, ALL of these limbs have to be combined to really derive all the benefits of Yoga, so one will do well to keep that in mind.

Though not an all in all list of the things to expect from a regular yoga practice, they do all add up to perhaps give THE health rewards of yoga.
